In SMIF-Fabs wird der LoadPort Identifier (LPI) an allen Load Ports einer Anlage befestigt. Die DisTags werden an SMIF Pods befestigt. Wenn ein SMIF Pod auf einem Load Port platziert wird, erfolgt eine Echtzeit-Authentifizierung der Anlage, indem der DisTag den LoadPort Identifier erkennt. Dies ermöglicht die automatische Anlagenanmeldung und damit den Load&Go Workflow. Dabei kann jede Art von Anlagen integriert werden, auch alte Anlagentypen.
